Bolla Marina new entry

MARINA BOLLA

“I know, today we want the big topical issues, wars, migrations, business, politics, internet, but the whole world can be in a vase, perhaps it was born from a vase. Some myths speak of a poter god of origins, others of the opening of a vase as the beginning of all our misfortunes. This is how we find ourselves original by pursuing the original. These vases seem to want to show the origin, that of coming to light, of the first time the light came on. It is the story of the first ray of light that entered Plato’s cave but no shadows revealed, but transparencies, objects that enhance the light. English call it Still life, “natura morta” because of life caught in its silent asking to show itself and to be looked at we speak. Perhaps this art also wants to show us that we could also approach the great arguments of reality, of actuality, if not in the same way in a corresponding way anyway. Maybe it wants to show us that behind the noise of the front row there are always those who work differently“.

Marina Bolla, conceptual artist, new entry of the gallery, proposes light at the center of her research. light is the origin of every image. Interacting with the material-vase it builds an optical path of thought and perceptions.
